Young Raptors Come Up Short
Even without Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo the Toronto Raptors fell short tonight against the Boston Celtics, snapping their five game win streak. The story of the game tonight was youth versus experience and playoff hopefuls versus recent NBA champs, with the latter emerging victorious on both counts. Toronto simply couldn't handle the Celtics energy whether it came from Glen Davis, Tony Allen or Kendrick Perkins. Sloppy turnovers throughout the third quarter will keep Toronto scratching their heads on the flight home as they prepare for a brutal back-to-back against the Spurs on the ACC court tomorrow night.

146 Reasons Why the Raptors are Hopeless
1. They allowed 146 points to the Hawks (who despite this season, historically suck)
2. They are from Toronto- all Toronto teams suck (see Leafs, Raptors, FC, Argos)
3. Chris Bosh is a hopeless franchise player and is only playing well to get a contract that will land him outside of TO.
4. They traded Matt Bonner and got rid of JYD
5. They drafted Rafael Araujo
Reasons 6-146 to be announced later.

Different Look, Different Result

The Raptors kicked off their nostalgic 15th season tonight against the Cavaliers, but the result was very new. After building a sizable lead over a flatfooted Cleveland team, playing the second of a back-to-back, Toronto collapsed. However, unlike years past, this edition managed to regroup and take the lead back. The story coming into tonight was all about the radically different Raptors roster and the result could not be better. 101-91, and perfect for the moment. Andrea Bargnani was fantastic, leading the charge with 28 points and showing flashes of brilliance. Chris Bosh quietly scored 21 but really made a huge impact collecting 16 boards. LeBron put up a triple-double but the story tonight is about Toronto. Lets hope they can keep it up Friday against the (Vancouver) Grizzlies.

PRE-SEASON
Raptors Pre-Season action is finally underway and several things are noteworthy:
1. The team is very excited to get things started. This is Jay Triano's first full season as a head coach and his first opportunity to lead a training camp. Jay had a busy summer coaching for USA Basketball and it will be very interesting how he gets the Raptors started in a few short weeks.
2. Jose Calderon is going to get his chance to be an elite PG in the NBA. Raptors fans campaigned for Jose's All-Star entitlement 2 seasons ago when he had an outstanding mid-season run. Last year he was banged up and the team struggled- this year he gets his chance to prove how talented he can be.
3. Tom Brady sucks balls (www.tombradysucksballs.info)
